Recently I attended a dinner at the Hotel Unique in São Paulo, for a presentation of wines from the region of Agrigento in Sicily. Promoted by the importer Wine Lovers, who brought to Brazil the wines of Winery D’Alessandro.Represented by Daniel Lizza, trade representative of the winery and the famous Italian sommelière Adua Villa, who once was the ambassador of wine. I received an email from Miolo press office, which was achieved the merger initiated in 2009 with Almaden Winery. With this merger the new company Miolo Wines S / A will be composed by: Miolo Winery (Vale dos Vinhedos/ RS), Seival Estate Project and Almaden Winery (Campanha / RS) and Ouro Verde Winery (Vale do São Francisco / BA) beyond the trader Miolo Wine Group. Currently, the new group has 1200 hectares of vineyards, producing 12 million liters of fine wines and sparking and 300,000 liters of brandy, and a staff of 650 direct employees. I recently received and email from the Basso winery related Brazilian’s wines are on sales at El Corte Ingles. According the issue, five Brazilian’s wineries (Aurora, Basso, Casa Valduga, Miolo and Salton) are selling their wines at the Spain stores. After several negotiations almost 5 months, the wines will arrive on December. If you are not familiar with “El Corte Ingles” stores this is a large chain with presence at Portugal and Spain where could we buy great wines, so, travelers keep this reference with you.
